We are thrilled to share a story, a tale of love, friendship and family.
There are some weddings that simply make your heart soar, and this Traditional wedding – filled with beautiful family moments and fantastic Traditional Décor props is one of such celebration. I won’t give anything away, as bride and groom Tomike & Tosin will tell the story best in their own words and pictures, but suffice to say you might want to get your hankies out for this one. Let’s just say, you’re never too young to find love!
DECOR
We wanted the day to be stylish but simple. The table setting was essentially an elevated version of what we have at home; simple yet classy, with Green tablecloths, clear charger plates and wooden floral boxes. We also collected matching champagne glasses and cutlery. We managed to source around 200 of them from @firewoodricenigeria at a very affordable price and drew our table plan and table signs as a wedding gift. We named each table after the families that were invited. For the entire day, we wanted the venue to have a warm garden and homely feel, so we built an awesome photo booth backdrop complete with “pineapples, flowers and lots of green.” – #theTTAffair
STAGE
All weddings are about making a statement: a statement of intention to love one another until death does you part. But they are also an opportunity to show off your statement style – and how beautifully did we achieve this for our gorgeous couple? By styling the stage with an abundance of flowers and greenery ; after all, what better way to enter the newly wedded world than through an illustration of beauty and fertility.
HIGHLIGHTS
They had a private traditional ceremony at the beautiful Tridient Hall. It was pure joy the moment we saw Tomike dance in with her friends, in an embellished Grey attire that screamed royalty to ‘Mama’ by Kizz Daniel and as she made her first entrance with lots of fireworks by @innovatemedia1. She told us afterwards that seeing how her family and friends sang and danced was one of her highlights because she was so content and happy with little or no worry as the entire planning, décor and coordination was handled by yours truly.
We must commend the Alaga “oluremisan” who started the ceremony with accolades, eulogies, traditional music and of course the talking drums.
Also the eye catching “eru iyawo” consisting of fruits of various kinds, wrapped gifts and boxes, tubers of yam and other mouthwatering gift items neatly organized on both sides of the hall.
And the most exciting ‘idobale’ moment
Who can forget the awesome shots by of the groom’s men who ‘gbe body e” and the graceful bridal squad. Or of the short action movie of the couple and their friends strutting their stuff. This wedding was everything to love, their vibe, energy, love and smiles were so contagious and their guests were just as energetic as the couple. By simply looking at their pictures you will find yourself grinning from ear to ear: true love lives here.
